Before The Glue

Jealousy, worthlessness, resentment, greed, anger, rage, sadness- these feelings are real, valid, and experienced by many of us at least some of the time. Truth be told, sometimes life is really hard and it sucks.

These mediums, our workplaces, intimate relationships and even personal narratives are filled with toxic positivity and breed more suffering, isolation, and additional wounds. Racing to put a positive spin on it, a disassociated, willful effort to get out of it, the denial or dismissal of these feelings invalidates real human experiences.

The kindest and most compassionate thing you can do for yourself is to stand witness to all of your emotions. It cultivates a deeper relationship with yourself, fosters compassion and allows you to feel more human.

This week I’ll offer a few tools to better quip you to navigate these moments with the hope that you’ll not race so quickly to move out of these uncomfortable spaces.

I see you, I love you, I’m rooting for you.
